A few words about
THE WAY WE SHIP
First and foremost understand that AFFORDABLE DESIGNS - CANADA is located... well... in Canada. This means that we have been using CANADA POST and UPS to ship all of our parcels. At first, we were shipping our parcels using an affordable service that did not provide tracking information between Canada and the USA. Recently, we managed to secure a small business agreement that allows us to ship to the USA with tracking numbers. The service is a bit more costly but provides both our customers and ourselves peace of mind as well as insurance protection. This is now the only way we will ship to the USA and the world.
We do not send tracking numbers back to you. You can find them as part of your Paypal transaction as we always purchase our shipping labels through your payment source. If you paid with a personal check and need your tracking number, please contact us.
For USA orders our SHIPPING/HANDLING rates have been adjusted to $15.95 US - $19.95 US. These base rates are relative to the size/weight of your combined items. Accordingly, a higher shipping/handling fee might be required for extra-large/heavy orders. We may decide to ship larger orders in multiple parcels instead of one very large one as those tend to be stopped for longer periods at the borders.
Orders shipping within Canada cost even more than that! Thanks to CanadaPost. Our shipping/handling rates starts at $24.95 US. If we manage to ship for less, we will gladly refund any significant unused portion.
International orders will have shipping/handling charges specific to their country, based on the safest/insured shipping rate available with a $2.00 US handling surcharge.
We understand these new shipping/handling rates may not be best for people wanting to purchase a single pair of shoes. Please understand Affordable Designs - Canada is a tiny, tiny online doll company and is not really set up to accommodate "one single item orders". These orders are welcome but our minimum shipping/handling charge will be applied.
Thank you for understanding,
Denis Bastien
